LITTLE ROCK – Even with the modern gun deer opener cranking up this Saturday, some outdoors enthusiasts are still hitting the water in search of some peaceful fishing. Catch the latest episode of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s television show for a full-on fishing extravaganza as host Trey Reid and the “Arkansas Wildlife” crew take on all three faces of the Little Missouri River in southwest Arkansas.
“We waded upstream of Lake Greeson to tackle smallmouth, then loaded up with a local fishing guide to chase Lake Greeson’s featured fish species — crappie,” Reid said. “Then we wrapped things up with a trip to the Little Missouri below Lake Greeson’s dam to try our hand at fishing for rainbow trout, a nice bonus fish made possible by cold-water discharge from the lake and a dedicated stocking program from the AGFC. In three seasons of the newly revised Arkansas Wildlife Television show, this is probably the best fishing show I think we’ve ever put together.”
The episode originally aired last weekend, but all episodes are available at the show’s YouTube page.
