Commercial Hunting Licenses and Permits

Trapping, buying and selling animal furs and other wildlife-associated business requires special commercial licenses available through the AGFC. These actions are tightly regulated, as overharvest was the downfall of many wildlife species in Arkansas before the AGFC was established.

Resident Fur Dealer
Entitles the holder to purchase and sell the hides of furbearing animals harvested in Arkansas. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $50 AGFC Headquarters
Nonresident Fur Dealer
Entitles the holder to purchase and sell the hides of furbearing animals harvested in Arkansas. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $100 AGFC Headquarters
Resident Trapper’s Permit (TP)
Entitles the holder of a resident hunting license to trap furbearers. Expires June 30. Not required to hunt furbearers. Free Online

Nonresident Trapper’s Permit (NFT)
Entitles the holder of a nonresident hunting license to trap furbearers. Expires June 30. Not required to hunt furbearers. $125 Online

Wildlife Breeder/Dealer’s Permit
Entitles the holder to raise, purchase and sell certain wildlife in Arkansas. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $50 AGFC Headquarters
Commercial Wildlife Hunting Resort Permit
Entitles the holder to hold managed hunts on enclosed areas in Arkansas. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $500 AGFC Headquarters
Special Commercial Quail Permit
Entitles the holder to allow planted quail hunts on their property. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $25 AGFC Headquarters
Game-bird Shooting Resort Permit
Entitles the holder to manage planted hunts for game birds on their property. Valid through June 30. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $150 AGFC Headquarters

Fishing, selling fish for profit and other wildlife-associated business requires special commercial licenses available through the AGFC. These actions are tightly regulated, as overharvest was the downfall of many fish species in Arkansas before the AGFC was established.

Resident Fishing Guide License (GLF)
Required of a resident who guides, aids or assists another person for pay or other consideration in the taking of fish. This license does not include fishing privileges. $25 Online

Nonresident Fishing Guide License (GNF)
Required of a nonresident who guides, aids or assists another person for pay or other consideration in the taking of fish. This license does not include fishing privileges. $150 Online
Regional Offices
Commercial Fisherman’s Permit and Sport-fishing License (CFS)
Entitles a resident to fish waters of the state with commercial fishing tackle. Available only at AGFC Headquarters in Little Rock. $25 AGFC Headquarters

Wildlife Management Businesses

Additional licenses and permits are required for persons interested in the wildlife management business. These include falconry, alligator or alligator snapping turtle commerce or farming. Call (800) 364-4263 ext. 6386 during business hours for information about these licenses or permits.
