LITTLE ROCK — The printed version of the 2021-22 Arkansas Hunting Guidebook is being produced and should be distributed in August throughout the state, but hunters can get familiar with this year’s season dates and regulations with a digital version, now available at www.agfc.com for download.

Twenty Arkansans draw elk hunting permits

LITTLE ROCK – The application period for Arkansas’s public land elk hunting permits is open from 8 a.m., May 1 until 11:59 p.m. June 1. Hunters interested in pursuing Arkansas's largest big game animal can apply beginning May 1 at https://ar-web.s3licensing.com and select the Special Hunt Applications button to begin the process.

Arkansas elk harvest stable, sustainable

LITTLE ROCK — Hunters harvested 47 elk during the 2020 Arkansas elk hunting season, a mirror image of the previous year’s total, according to Wes Wright, elk program coordinator for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
