Bowhunting opportunity for dinosaurs and sasquatch coming to AGFC archery range

CONWAY – Archery buffs throughout Arkansas are invited to take their shot at some of the most interesting targets and challenging situations offered in the bowhunting world at the R100 being held at the Camp Robinson Special Use Area archery ranges May 13-15. The archery ranges are at 331 Clinton Road in Conway.

But these three ladies didn’t just get to know one another this spring; their friendship was forged through BOW nearly four years ago.

Women’s outdoor weekend heads to Northwest Arkansas

HUNTSVILLE — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a special Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop at the Ozark Natural Science Center in Huntsville Nov. 1-3. The weekend-long workshop has enough room for 60 women to attend and learn about wildlife, hiking, hunting and angling in The Natural State. Applications for the event are available at

FERNDALE - More than 130 women took up the torch of carrying on our outdoors passions to the next generation at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Workshop, held at the C.A. Vines 4-H Center west of Little Rock during the last weekend in September.

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will open online enrollment in this year’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop June 4-30. The workshop, which introduces women 18 and older to various outdoors activities, will be held Sept. 28-30 at the C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center in Ferndale.
