Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW)

Becoming an Outdoors Woman is comprised of outdoor skills workshops, classes, and camps designed for 18 years and older women. The program focuses on providing women the opportunity to learn skills and encourage participation in hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. These programs offer a supportive atmosphere where women can learn skills that enhance their enjoyment of Arkansas outdoors. BOW classes range from introductory level to advanced outdoor training.

Kayaking, fishing, fly, fishing, archery, hunting, pistol, shotgun, trap, rifle, dutch oven tree ID, birding, mountain biking, backyard habitat and more!

2024 Fall BOW Weekend

The 2024 Fall BOW Weekend will be held October 4-6, 2024 at the Camp Robinson Special Use Area. Registration will begin at 8:30 am on July 23, 2024. Click here to view the Class Catalog.

What can you expect from the annual fall “Becoming an Outdoors Woman” workshop?

The weekend is divided into four educational sessions: Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.

This workshop is for you if…

  • You have never tried these activities but have hoped for an opportunity to learn.
  • You are a beginner who hopes to improve your skills.
  • You already do some of these activities but would like to learn new ones.
