Hunting License Descriptions and Fees

Who needs a license?

If you are 16 or older, an Arkansas hunting license is required to hunt wildlife unless you are on a licensed game-bird shooting resort that supplies pen-raised birds. A valid printed license, reusable hard card or acceptable electronic format license must be in your possession when hunting.

Your purchase of an Arkansas hunting or fishing license will include access to AGFC-owned wildlife management areas and lakes. For those who do not hold a current Arkansas hunting or fishing license or plan to purchase one, all persons 16 years of age or older using AGFC-owned wildlife management areas and lakes must possess an annual AGFC WMA/Lake Conservation Permit (WMC, $10.50), effective July 1, 2026.
