The Million Pound Challenge Clean-Up

Join Us in the Million Pound Challenge!

Trash impacts every waterway in the U.S., affecting water quality and threatening the fish populations anglers depend on. Keeping waterways clean is essential to maintaining strong fisheries, supporting aquatic ecosystems and ensuring the continued success of the recreational fishing industry. Join AGFC, PRADCO and the American Sportfishing Association to remove 1,000,000 pounds of trash from waterways by participating in the Million Pound Challenge!

Participating is easy!

Organize a Clean-Up

  • Choose a local stream, river, lake or access and select a day for your clean-up during National Fishing and Boating Week (June 6-14).

Get Ready!

Collect, Track and Share

  • On-site, document your progress with photos before, during and after the clean-up.
  • Download the FishBrain app (Click here for an Apple link and here for an Android link) or visit the FishBrain website to report how much trash you picked up. Either weigh your trash, or count the number of trash bags you filled. Use this helpful equation: 1 bag=20 lbs.
  • Share your achievement on social media using the hashtag: #MillionPoundChallenge
