‘Build a Bed’ available for Lake Conway anglers

The AGFC is giving away concrete spawning disks and gravel to Lake Conway anglers and lakeside landowners to create their own future hotspots.

Click here to claim up to 30 concrete spawning disks. The disks are roughly the size of a birdbath and can be filled with gravel to create lasting spawning sites for bream and bass.

Property owners also can sign up to have the AGFC build gravel spawning beds in front of their property by boating in two to three loads of gravel with a hydraulic dump barge and spreading it in shallow water. The gravel supply is limited, so beds and disks will be distributed in the order of signups.

The AGFC also plans to have additional habitat building materials the public can use to build structures at the Pierce Creek Access to Lake Conway. Landowners can sign up to receive those materials as well.
