AGFC’s Naylor, other waterfowl experts will participate in first duck season social

LITTLE ROCK – Enjoy a night interacting with fellow waterfowl hunters and listening to a fireside chat with a diverse panel of hunters, conservationists and biologists at the inaugural Duck Season Social on Monday, Dec. 9, The event, including dinner, begins at 6 p.m. and all waterfowlers are invited to attend Noah’s Event Venue, 21 Rahling Circle in West Little Rock.
The chat with the panel, which includes Luke Naylor, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s waterfowl program coordinator, will be fast-paced and interactive with a focus on improving and perpetuating the sport of duck hunting in Arkansas. The chat will be moderated by Trey Reid, assistant chief in the AGFC’s Communications Division and host of “Arkansas Wildlife TV,” and Brent Birch, author of “The Grand Prairie” and editor of Greenhead: The Arkansas Duck Hunting Magazine.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation and the Arkansas Outdoor Society are hosting the event, with proceeds benefiting the AGFF’s Steve Smith Endowment. Tickets range from $75 for VIP access, $50 for standard tickets and $25 for those 30 and younger. VIP ticket holders can attend a meet and greet before the event with VIPs and panelists. Tickets include a BBQ dinner and dessert as well as complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks. The first 50 ticket purchasers will receive a hat from Yeti, and there will be giveaways at the event from Yeti and Natural Gear.
Along with Naylor, the other panelists include Jim Ronquest, 2006 World Duck Calling Champion and host of RNTv; John Devney, Delta Waterfowl senior vice president; Cason Short of Bill Byers Hunter Club in Hunter, Arkansas; T.L. Lauerman, a northeast Arkansas waterfowler; Dr. Mike Brasher, a Ducks Unlimited waterfowl ccientist; and Dr. Brian Davis, Endowed Associate Professor at Mississippi State University.
