Sugar Loaf Lake

Sugar Loaf Lake is a 334-acre impoundment located 19 miles south of Fort Smith, Arkansas. It is a highland impoundment with a maximum depth of 50 ft. and a forage base consisting of Gizzard Shad, various minnows, small sunfish, and crawfish. The lake is home to a variety of sport fish species, including Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Black Crappie, White Crappie, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, and Channel Catfish. Access to the lake is available at two AGFC owned areas, offering bank fishing, boat ramp, primitive camping, and Porta-Potty.
