WMA Deer Bag Limit: Five deer, no more than one buck, which may include:

• One buck with archery, muzzleloader or modern gun,
• Five does with archery, muzzleloader and modern gun combined.
• During youth hunt, youths may take five deer, no more than one buck (no antler restrictions) or up to five does.

Deer Notes:

• 12-inch inside spread or 15-inch main beam rule.
• No dogs.
• Hunters must harvest and check a doe on Moro Big Pine Natural Area WMA prior to harvesting a buck.
• A youth is not required to harvest a doe before harvesting a buck during any hunt.
• Deer must be brought to WMA Biological Check Station
  during the first 2 days of the November Adult Modern Gun Deer Hunts (except deer taken during the Modern Gun Special Youth hunts).

2024-25 Squirrel

May 15, 2024-Feb. 28, 2025. Dogs allowed. Daily limit – 12, possession limit – 48.

Hunting wihtin 100 feet of the center of any road (including closed and seasonally closed roads) on Moro Big Pine Natural Area WMA is illegal.

• A free annual General Use Permit (WMP) is required to hunt or trap on WMAs. Permits are available online by clicking “Buy Licenses” at agfc.com or by calling 833-345-0325 or any regional office.
• Check antler restrictions for important additional information.
• Vehicles, horses, mules and bicycles may only be used on open, gravel/graded roads.
• Pedaled bicycles (non-motorized) may be used on closed gravel/graded roads.
• Mobility Impaired Access card holders may hunt directly on MIA old abandoned railroad north and south trams.
• ATVs must remain on the trams.
• MIA card holders may not hunt directly on MIA trails 015, 016 and 034. ATVs on these trails must be 100 feet and no more than 300 feet from the centerline of the MIA trail.
