Mallard Lake, located within the Big Lake Wildlife Management Area in northern Mississippi County, Arkansas, is known for its excellent bass fishing, including producing a state-record largemouth bass in 1976. The lake underwent renovations in 1985 to improve water quality and fish populations, making it a popular destination for anglers and hunters looking to combine fishing trips with bottomland hunts for various game species. Amenities at Mallard Lake include concrete boat ramps, a courtesy dock, and handicapped-accessible fishing piers.
