AGFC director announces retirement

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Director Pat Fitts announced yesterday that he will retire from the AGFC effective June 30, 2021. He has been the agency’s director since replacing Jeff Crow on Jan. 1, 2018.

AGFC announces director of new northwest Arkansas nature center

SPRINGDALE — Exhibits are under construction and the landscaping is still underway, but when the J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center opens this fall, it will already have 25 years of experience manning the helm. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission recently announced Schelly Corry, a transplant from Alabama with an extensive career in education and exhibit planning and management, to lead the team at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s newest nature center in Springdale.

Fitts named new director of AGFC

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission announced today that Pat Fitts will become the agency’s 18th director in its 102-year history. Fitts will replace Jeff Crow, who announced his resignation Oct. 10. The appointment was announced during a special called meeting earlier today and becomes effective Jan. 1, 2018.

With the recent announcement of current director Jeff Crow stepping down in February, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has begun the process of advertising and recruiting its next leader. 

AGFC director stepping down

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Director Jeff Crow will be stepping down effective Feb. 28, 2018. Crow made the announcement this afternoon during a staff meeting. He has been the agency’s director since July 1, 2016. He replaced Mike Knoedl.
