Celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day
Launched in 1971 by Congress, NHF Day has consistently recognized hunters and anglers for their leadership in wildlife and conservation. NHF Day is observed and celebrated the fourth Saturday in September every year.
National Hunting and Fishing Day focuses on raising public awareness about the importance of the wise use of natural resources, promoting wildlife conversation and outdoor sports. On this day, local, state, regional and national organizations hold fishing- and hunting-related events providing participants with an opportunity to experience traditional outdoor sports.
Join the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in its efforts to increase the number of hunters and anglers in The Natural State by pledging to take a newcomer to the woods or water this National Hunting and Fishing Day, Sept. 26.
All activities are free thanks to your support of the 1/8 Cent Conservation Sales Tax.
Social distancing guidelines will be in place at all venues. Masks required.
