Natural State Private Lands Expo

The Natural State Private Lands Expo is designed to give private landowners and leaseholders the practical tools, expert advice and vendor connections needed to improve wildlife and aquatic habitats.

Because roughly 90% of Arkansas is privately owned, the event targets property owners as the essential frontline for statewide conservation efforts.

  • Educational Seminars: Breakout sessions focus on practical habitat management, covering topics such as white-tailed deer management, upland game bird restoration (quail and wild turkey), wetland conservation, farm pond maintenance, and stream bank erosion control.
  • Expert Keynotes: Regional wildlife management specialists and extension professionals deliver research-backed strategies on forest management, early successional vegetation, and overcoming common land management roadblocks.
  • Live Demos & Commercial Vendors: Outdoors demonstrations showcase modern equipment, prescribed fire tools, and land-clearing technology. Landowners can also meet with vendors offering native seed blends, forestry herbicides, drone mapping, and nursery stock.
  • Technical Support & Networking: Attendees connect directly with AGFC Private Lands Biologists to discuss custom management plans, explore state and federal cost-share funding opportunities, and tackle specific land challenges.
  • Natural State Landowner Conservation Awards: An annual ceremony highlights landowners who have achieved outstanding habitat improvements, offering real-world blueprints and inspiration for others.

By bridging the gap between professional conservation science, specialized machinery, and cost-share grant programs, the expo helps landowners turn acreage of any size into a healthier, more productive habitat for local fish and wildlife.
