Cedar Mountain WMA is a leased land WMA, meaning hunters, trappers and campers 16 years of age or older must purchase a Leased Lands permit (LLP) for $75. Permits are available online by clicking “Buy Licenses” at agfc.com or by calling 833-345-0325 or any regional office.

2026-27 Crow

Sept. 3, 2026-Feb. 21, 2027. Open Thursdays through Mondays only. No limit.

2026-27 Deer

Deer Archery: Aug. 29-31 (one antlered buck only); Sept. 26-Feb. 28.
Deer Alternative Firearms: Oct. 17-25.
Deer Modern Gun: Nov. 14-Dec. 6 and Dec. 26-28.
Deer Modern Gun Youth Hunts: Nov. 7-8 and Jan. 2-3. No antler restrictions apply.

WMA Bag Limit: Three deer, no more than two antlered bucks (3-Point Rule applies), which may include:

  • Two antlered bucks with archery, alternative firearms and modern gun,
  • Three antlerless deer with archery,
  • One antlerless deer with alternative firearms or modern gun combined.
  • During youth hunt, youths may take two deer, one antlered buck (no antler restrictions) and one antlerless deer.

Youth Hunt: April 10-11. One legal turkey.
Firearms Hunt: April 19-May 9. One legal turkey.

  • ATV and motorcycle use by permitted hunters allowed only on roads identified on U.S. Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Map as being open for off highway vehicle use, available at www.fs.usda.gov/ouachita.
  • Dogs may be used for coyote, fox and bobcat hunting when the declared furbearer hunting season is open and firearms deer season is closed.
  • Camping limited to 14 consecutive days or fewer (unlawful to camp for more than 30 days during one calendar year).
  • Camps may not remain unoccupied for more than 48 hours.
  • Creating a disturbance after 10 p.m. not allowed.
