Duck Season Error in Two AGFC Publications

The dates of the first segment of the 2026-27 duck, coot and merganser hunting seasons are incorrect in the July/August calendar issue of Arkansas Wildlife magazine, as well as in a recent mailer sent to provide some hunters with their Arkansas State Duck Stamps.
The calendar and mailer incorrectly listed the first segment of duck season and corresponding goose seasons as closing Dec. 1; the segment actually closes Nov. 29.
These are the correct dates for the 2026-27 waterfowl hunting season.
Duck, Coot and Merganser: Nov. 21-29, Dec. 10-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 31, 2027.
Canada Goose: Sept. 1-Oct. 15, Nov. 21-29, Dec. 10-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 31, 2027.
White-fronted Goose: Oct. 31-Nov. 8, Nov. 21-29, Dec. 10-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 31, 2027
Snow, Blue and Ross’s Goose: Oct. 31-Nov. 8, Nov. 21-29, Dec. 10-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 31, 2027.
Light Goose Conservation Order: Feb. 1-5, 2027, and Feb. 8-April 25, 2027.
Veteran, Active-Duty Military and Youth Waterfowl Hunt: Feb. 6-7, 2027.
