Administrators of Conservation Education (ACE)

Applications for the 2026-27 school year will open April 7.

The AGFC Administrators of Conservation Education is an opportunity for engaging, collaborative and conservation-focused administrators to work directly with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Education Division.

Selected administrators from around the state of Arkansas will work alongside AGFC Education staff and gain access to exciting learning experiences to bring back to their districts.

Participation in the Administrators of Conservation Education will be from July 2026 – June 2027.


The Goals of the Administrators of Conservation Education

  • To gain practical insights and inspiration to transform how their schools engage with the natural world. 
  • To foster meaningful conversations and connections between students and nature while building a school culture among their staff that celebrates and prioritizes conservation.
  • To create a network of administrators committed to advancing environmental education.
  • To empower schools across Arkansas to make conservation a cornerstone of their educational mission. 

Criteria:

  • The nominee must be administrator at any public, private, virtual, or charter school in Arkansas for the upcoming school year.
  • The nominee must have an interest in bringing conservation, environmental science, or outdoor recreation to your school.
  • The nominee must be able to attend in-person meetings once scheduled.
  • The nominee must be able to attend virtual meetings.
  • The nominee must have a willingness to try conservation and outdoor recreation experiences and skills based learning opportunities and share feedback about those with your staff, district administration, and our agency staff.
  • Applications are due April 24. Selected administrators will be announced May 1.
