Lake Ouachita is a 40,000-acre lake located between Hot Springs and Mt. Ida, Arkansas, with a maximum depth of 200 feet. It is home to a diverse fish community, including black bass, crappie, bream, catfish, striped bass, and walleye, and is regularly stocked with sportfish. The lake is surrounded by multiple Corps of Engineers concrete boat ramps and several major marinas, and the USCOE maintains eighteen day use areas with running water, bathroom facilities, and fish cleaning stations.
