Nature and education centers across the state will be open with special programs and events March 24-27 to keep families entertained with wholesome outdoors fun.

PINE BLUFF — It may seem a distant memory, but scars from the extensive flooding along the Arkansas River last May and June are still apparent at Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center, a favorite destination for school groups and visitors to Pine Bluff. In fact, it has been closed since May due to flood damage.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission nature and education centers have plenty of programs available to offer outdoors-oriented fun for kids of all ages. Kids can learn to shoot a bow or a bb gun, paddle a canoe or kayak, or make handy nature-themed crafts to take home and enjoy.
