You're never too young to start appreciating the brown trout that are prevalent in the White River at Cotter. Browns are beginning to make their reeds, the areas where they leave their eggs during spawning season, in shoals around the White, so watch out for them. Small nymphs have been great for numbers. Blue-wing olives and caddis are hatching heavy most days. Anything to imitate them works. He adds that spin-fishing has been hot with Trout Magnets with the low, clear water.
