Roger Fisher lived up to his surname, landing his personnel best largemouth bass on a creek off Norfork Lake last weekend while kayak fishing. The fish was 19.5 inches long and 5 pounds, caught in about 2 feet of water on a white Rooster Tail. Roger and his nephew, Andy Bell, found largemouths feeing on bait balls in the creek and landed a bunch; Roger also caught two at one time on a square bill.

Now the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will allow state record submissions for another trout species, this time for tiger trout.

Taylor Goodman sent us this photo of his wife and the monster rainbow trout she caught on Saturday on the Norfork tailwater. The Goodmans didn't have official scales on hand and the fish was ready to return to the water, so they got no weight. But the fish was 30-plus inches in length with a girth of about 20 inches, allowing them to estimate this fish at about 18 pounds.
