Sixty new habitat structures put in place on Greers Ferry Lake

HEBER SPRINGS – Anglers at Greers Ferry Lake will see an immediate benefit in coming months from a large-scale habitat project conducted Nov. 30-Dec. 4 at Greers Ferry Lake that involved 23 biologists and technicians of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Fisheries Division.

Christmas trees become ‘Habitat for the Holidays’

LITTLE ROCK — Give this year’s Christmas tree another life after the yuletide celebrations by donating it to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Habitat for the Holidays program.

Lake Charles drawdown to begin Nov. 15 for waterfowl, fish habitat benefits

POWHATAN — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will conduct a planned drawdown of Lake Charles at least 8 feet below normal pool beginning Nov. 15 and lasting through January 2021. The released water will be used to inundate greentree reservoirs at Shirey Bay Rainey Brake Wildlife Management are for waterfowl habitat.
