Apple Lake is situated within the Sheffield Nelson Dagmar WMA in Monroe County, Arkansas, along with several other waterbodies. The WMA is easily accessible from I-40 via state highway 70, with signs posted at the entrance. There are multiple amenities in the nearby town of Brinkley to accommodate visitors, and the management area features five concrete boat launching ramps, including one at the Apple Lake Waterfowl Rest Area.
