Leftover WMA Deer Hunting Permits available July 14

LITTLE ROCK – Nearly 200 leftover WMA deer hunt permits for Arkansas wildlife management areas will be available for purchase beginning 8 a.m., Tuesday, July 14. These permits cover modern gun, muzzleloader and mobility-impaired hunts that weren’t awarded through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s annual WMA deer permit drawing earlier this month.
AGFC urges boaters to be safe and socially conscious during holiday weekend

LITTLE ROCK — Boating enforcement officers with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission are working hard to keep our waters safe, and want to remind everyone to practice safe boating habits and social distancing recommendations as we head into the Independence Day holiday. They will be ramping up enforcement efforts this weekend as part of the national Operation Dry Water campaign to reduce instances of boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Commission approves some electric bicycles for use on WMAs

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted unanimously to allow Class I electrically assisted bicycles on AGFC-owned wildlife management areas at today’s regularly scheduled meeting.
