LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unanimously approved new regulations today to regulate and more closely monitor the commercial harvest of aquatic turtles in Arkansas.
LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted today to formally deny the petition of a complete closure on turtle harvest and heard the first reading of six new regulations changes aimed at managing the commercial harvest of turtles in the state.
FORT SMITH – Commissioners voted to amend nonresident waterfowl permits to be valid only during certain portions of the duck season at today’s regularly scheduled Commission meeting at the Temple Live Event Center in Fort Smith. The change, however, will not go into effect until the 2019-20 waterfowl season.
LITTLE ROCK – Commissioners with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission proposed an amendment to waterfowl hunting regulations today to specify when non-residents can hunt waterfowl on wildlife management areas to specific blocks of dates.
BATESVILLE – Commissioners heard the first reading of fishing regulations changes proposed for 2019 at today’s regularly scheduled meeting at the Batesville Community and Aquatics Center.
LITTLE ROCK – Commissioners voted to temporarily suspend the issuance of new Wildlife Importation and Wildlife Breeder/Dealer permits for venomous or poisonous wildlife species at today’s regularly scheduled meeting.
LITTLE ROCK – Commissioners unanimously approved a group of regulations today, effectively setting the season dates and bag limits for the 2018-19 hunting season for all species.
