Tisa Bomar Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Coordinator
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman is an outdoors skills workshop designed for women 18 years and older. The program focuses on providing opportunities for women to learn skills and encourage participation in hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. The workshop offers a supportive atmosphere where women can learn skills that enhance their enjoyment of Arkansas’s outdoors. BOW is an introductory-level workshop that teaches basic courses only. Advanced courses are taught at Beyond BOW events.
A maximum of 135 women will be chosen to register for BOW. Priority is given to first time participants. Space is limited, and spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

The workshop spans a weekend, with registration beginning on Friday at 10:00 a.m., and ends with lunch at noon on Sunday. The weekend is divided into four educational sessions: Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning.

Beyond BOW events offer hands-on instruction in a fun and supportive learning environment. Beyond BOW, as the name implies, takes you beyond the basics of BOW, as you strive to sharpen your skills. While is it not required, it is recommended, that you have attended a BOW workshop. Beyond BOW events may take place in one day, or occur over a weekend in different areas of the state.
