Rules and Regulations

Excellent hunting is the result of proper regulations that protect the resource. This section of the Web site lets visitors learn more about hunting season dates, hunting regulations, fishing regulations, licenses and permits required to hunt or fish in The Natural State.

Our hunting and fishing guidebooks are designed to provide accurate information relating to season dates and bag limits. The official regulation document containing all hunting regulations, fishing regulations, boating regulations and rules regarding our public hunting areas is the AGFC Code of Regulations. These documents are all available as a printable download.

Our Wildlife Officers are certified law enforcement officers with statewide jurisdiction and full police authority who are responsible for the enforcement of all hunting regulations, fishing regulations and other AGFC regulations. Their mission is to fairly administer the regulations of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, state, and federal laws while promoting resource conservation and public safety. Some of the duties of a Wildlife Officer include checking sportsmen for license and bag limits. Apprehension and writing of citations for violating AGFC regulations by unlawful hunters is their major responsibility.
