Talk turkey at the 2010 spring season public meetings
August 24, 2009
LITTLE ROCK – Don’t miss your chance to provide spring turkey season feedback to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Meetings will be held around the state on Aug. 25 as part of the 2010 spring turkey hunting regulations. The meetings will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
During last week’s Commission meeting, there was a proposal to close the 2009 fall archery and firearms turkey season. Although the meetings are focused on the 2010 spring season, the Commission would like hunters’ input on the proposed 2009 fall closure as they will be voting on it at the Sept. 24 commission meeting.
To find out more about the AGFC’s proposals for the 2010 spring turkey hunting season, go to www.agfc.com, then attend one of the public meetings.
