The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has monitored the regulated harvest of furbearing animals by collecting data on pelt and carcass purchases by licensed furdealers since the late 1930s.  These reports represent the minimum harvest figures as not all animals taken are sold and Arkansas hunters and trappers can ship their pelts to out-of-state auction houses and such shipments would not be represented in these reports.
