Fishing Zones

 
There are two fishing zones in Arkansas where special regulations apply to certain species of fish. These two species are Smallmouth Bass and Crappie.  
 

Smallmouth Bass

In the Ozark zone, smallmouth bass must be at least 12 inches long to keep and in the rest of the state, they must be at least 10 inches long A number of streams have been selected for intensified smallmouth bass management.

Crappie


The map at left shows the daily limits for crappie, black and white combined Between the main levees of the Mississippi River and on Horseshoe Lake (Crittenden County), the daily crappie limit is 50
