Not only are the Arkansas River and Lake Maumelle within easy reach, dozens of smaller public lakes and ponds can be found near Little Rock. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has partnered with several cities in central Arkansas to provide convenient and exceptional fishing opportunities.
Try some of this convenient and exciting fishing action. Take your children or some kids from your neighborhood and enjoy a relaxing day of catching fish. The fish you catch can be prepared several ways to make a healthy, tasty meal. A current Arkansas fishing license is required for all anglers 16 years of age and older.
