Fishing Locations

More than 600,000 acres of lakes and 9,700 miles of rivers and streams fuel Arkansas' excellent angling reputation. The 52 Arkansas Game and Fish Commission lakes are scattered throughout the Natural State and are lakes tailor-made for your angling enjoyment. Plug for largemouths on famous Mallard Lake, or jig for crappies on a cypress-shrouded oxbow.

You can always take advantage of one of the Corps of Engineers lakes that are scattered across the state.  May of these lakes offer campgrounds where visitors can enjoy modern campsites offering electricity and fire rings with drinking water, showers, and restrooms nearby. Other facilities, such as picnic sites, swimming beaches, hiking trails, boat launching ramps, sanitary dump stations, group picnic shelters, and amphitheaters are also available in the many of the parks.  Seven Corps of Engineers parks contain year-round commercial marinas providing grocery items, fuel, boat rental and storage, fishing guides, and other supplies and services.
