Central Arkansas Fishing Locations 

Central Arkansas

  • Boyle Park - From I-630 turn south on University Avenue (Exit 5B). Turn west on Boyle Park Rd. and follow it to the park.
  • Burns Park (Arkansas River Access) - Turn south off I-40 at the Burns Park Exit (Exit 150). Follow West Military Dr. to the ramp.
  • Cooks Landing (Arkansas River Access) - From I-430 turn south on Crystal Hill Rd. (Exit 12). Turn right on North Shore Dr., then right on Cooks Landing Rd. and follow it into Cooks Landing Park.
  • Gribble Street Access (Arkansas River Access) - Traveling east on E. Broadway in North Little Rock, turn right on E. Washington, then veer left on E. Lincoln. Turn left onto S. Cheryl St. and follow it to the river and the ramp.
  • Hindman Park - From I-630 turn south on University Ave. (Exit 5B). Turn right on 65th St. and follow 65th to the park.
  • Kiwanis Park - Take Barrow Rd. south and turn west on 36th St. Turn left onto Foster – the pond is on the left.
  • MacArthur Park - Behind the Arkansas Arts Center on the corner of 9th and Commerce.
  • Murray Park From I-430 take Cantrell Rd. (Exit 9) east to Rebsamen Park Rd. Turn left on Rebsamen, then left on Riverfront Dr. Turn right past the golf course into Murray Park.
  • North River Landing (Arkansas River Access) - The ramp is beside the I-30 Bridge opposite the Clinton Library.
  • Remmell Access at Fourche Creek - From I-440 in Little Rock, take the Lindsey Rd. Exit (Exit 4) and turn left onto Lindsey Rd. Turn right into Remmell Park.
  • Riverfront Park - From I-30 in North Little Rock take the Cantrell Exit (Exit 141A). From Cantrell, turn right in one of several parking lots in the River Market.
  • Victory Lake - From I-40 take Exit 150 at Burns Park and turn right onto W. Military Dr. Turn right at the T intersection and go about 100 yards to the lake on the left.
  • War Memorial Youth and Seniors Pond - Found in War Memorial Park across from the Little Rock Zoo. From I-630 take the Fair Park Exit (Exit 4) and go north to War Memorial Park. The pond is on the left.

Northeast Central Arkansas

  • Cabot Community Pond - From U.S. Highway 67/167 take the Arkansas Hwy. 89 Exit (Exit 19) in Cabot, turn right. Continue and turn right on Campground Rd.
  • Cherrywood Lake - From U.S. Hwy. 67 take the Kiehl Exit (Exit 5) and go west on E. Kiehl Ave. Turn south on Summit Dr.
  • Dupree Park - From U.S. Hwy. 67 take Exit 8 and turn left onto Redmond Rd.
  • Lake Pickthorne - Pickthorne lies on the west side of Holland Bottoms Wildlife Management Area. From the frontage road on the east side of U.S. Hwy. 67/167 between Jacksonville and Cabot, turn right on E. Coffelt Rd. Turn right on Holland Bottoms Rd.
  • Paradise Lake - From U.S. Highway 67/167 in Jacksonville take the Main Street Exit (Exit 9) and turn left onto W. Main St. Go about 1.5 miles and turn right onto Redmond Rd. The park is near the end of the road on the left.

Southwest Central Arkansas

  • Saline River Access on I-30 - From Sunset Lake Dock (see above), continue on Henry St. one-half mile to the river access.
  • Saline River Access on Arkansas - Highway 5 From I-30 in Benton, take the Highway 5 Exit (Exit 117). Turn onto Highway 5 north for about 2 miles and turn left on Lyledale Rd. at the brown access sign leading straight into the park.
  • Sunset Lake - From I-30 westbound in Benton, take the Sevier St. Exit (Exit 116) and go over the overpass. Take the loop that curves right to the service road and take a left. From the service road, take a left on Fairfield Rd. by the fairgrounds. Make the sharp curve into Henry St. The dock will be on the right.

Northwest Central Arkansas

  • Lake Maumelle - The best access to Lake Maumelle is at Jolly Roger’s Marina about midway up the lake on Arkansas Hwy. 10.
  • Maumelle Park - From I-430 take the Cantrell Rd. Exit (Exit 9) and go west 2.7 miles. Turn right on Pinnacle Valley Rd. The entrance is in a 90-degree turn and is clearly marked on the right.
  • Palarm Creek Use Area - From North Little Rock take I-40 to Mayflower. Turn left and go over the overpass. Turn left on Arkansas Hwy. 365 and travel about 4 miles until you see the Palarm Use Area on both sides of the highway.
  • Pinnacle Mountain State Park (Little Maumelle Access) - Take I-430 to Cantrell Rd. west 2.7 miles and turn right on Pinnacle Valley Rd. and continue to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Turn right and follow the signs to the access and fishing area.
  • Two Rivers Park (Arkansas River Access) - From I-430 take Cantrell Rd. (Exit 9) west 2.7 miles and turn north on Pinnacle Valley Rd. Go straight where Pinnacle Valley makes a sharp, 90-degree turn north and travel 1.5 miles to the entrance.

Southeast Central Arkansas

  • David D. Terry Lock and Dam (Arkansas River Access) - From Arkansas Hwy. 165 South, turn south on Colonel Maynard Rd. Turn west on E. Dam Site Rd. The road dead ends at the dam and the boat launch.
  • Willow Beach Park - From Arkansas Hwy. 165 South, turn south on Colonel Maynard Rd. Willow Beach Park is on the right about 2 miles from the turn.
