Online Self-Study Hunter Education Course

The Arkansas Hunter Education Program is now offering an online self-study course. Students are required to complete each section of the Online self-study course, then generate and print a report to take to the final examination. Examinations are offered at different testing sites around the state.

Important : Once you complete all sections of the online study course, you must take a final examination at one of our testing sites located around the state. After completing the course, you will be able to print a report. Take this report when you take your final exam.

The purpose of hunter education is to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become safe, responsible hunters. Typically, students meet these needs by attending a traditional, instructor led course including classroom lectures and field/range experiences. In today's society, students have less free time to devote to attending a hunter education course.  This online course allows the student to complete a portion of the hunter education course at home in a more user-friendly atmosphere.

Courses included are:

  • Game Care
  • Responsibilities
  • Wildlife
  • Tree Stand
  • Survival and First Aid
  • Tree Stand
  • Firearms
  • Tree Stand
  • Bow Hunting and Muzzleloading
