This 39,000-acre area is owned by International Paper Company and Williamette.

The area was established as a WMA in 1970.

Purpose:
|
The primary objective of this management area is to provide quality wildlife habitat and public hunting
opportunities.
|

Description:
|
The area consists primarily of intensively managed pine timberlands with hardwood buffers along the
major streams.
|

T
he area is located east of the Bradley community on Hwy. 29. Several access points are available along Hwy 29 north and south of town and along Hwy 160 east of town.

Hunting
Opportunities:
|
Deer, quail, turkey, squirrel, rabbits, and waterfowl (on Lake Earling). See current regulations for seasons and bag limits.

Management
Practices:
|
Wildlife management practices are integrated with timber management practices to provide quality wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities. This area has been under a Quality Deer Management Plan including a 4-point on one side antler restriction and liberal doe harvest.

Lake Erling borders the WMA on the east and provides excellent fishing opportunities.

Spring Bank and Sulphur River WMA's are located approximately 7 and 15 miles to the west, respectively.

Camping is allowed in designated sites along the North CCC Rd.

Facilities:

Facilities are located in Springhill, LA or Bradley and Magnolia, AR. Bass Haven Restaurant and Lodge
are located on Lake Erling. They have lodging as well as RV hookups and a boat launch. They can be reached at 870-694-6221.
