Description:

This area is located in the Little River and Red River drainage systems and primarily consists of intensively managed pine timberlands and mixed pine/hardwood tracts.

Access points are located along Hwy. 108 between Ashdown and Foreman and north of the Wallace Community on Hwy 32.

Opportunities:

Practices:

Wildlife management practices are integrated with timber management practices to provide quality wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities. These management practices provide substantial open land habitats and stimulate excellent browse production.

Millwood Lake offers good fishing opportunities and lies about 10 miles to the east.

Pond Creek NWR is located directly to the north. Millwood Lake is located to the west.
