About the Name: The small 290-acre management area received its name from the stream, which flows along the center portion of the WMA.
Ownership: The property was deeded from the FmHA in 1992.
Age: The area became a WMA in 1992.
Purpose: It was acquired as a small game area providing an increase public use opportunities with hopes of future
expansion.
Description: The small WMA consist of old agricultural fields, which have been reforested. The low area contains stands of tupelo cypress habitats and some hardwood thickets remain on the upland portion of the site.
Access: All access at present is under private ownership.

Big Creek provides excellent fishing for pan fish and bird enthusiast may find an array of neotropical migrants during seasonal migrations.

Monroe Arkansas provides a small eatery and grocery store as well and the neighboring Moro
Arkansas, which is east of the WMA on Highway 79.
