Commission addresses vehicle issue at special meeting
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission last week approved a revision in the agency's vehicle assignment and use policy. The vote was 6-1 in favor of the change.

Hunters should be aware of county burn bans
Muzzleloading season begins this weekend and current weather conditions call for heightened levels of fire danger. Deer hunters should be aware that there are numerous burn bans across the state. County burn bans also apply to Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wildlife management areas.

Richland Valley renamed to honor former AGFC commissioner
Picturesque property near the National Park Service's Buffalo National River has been renamed to honor a former commissioner with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. It will be known as the Sonny Varnell Richland Valley Elk Conservation Area.
