LITTLE ROCK – As the temperature starts to rise, firearms are getting stored away and fishing poles are being rigged for spring time angling. This doesn’t mean we should store our thoughts of firearm safety away with those firearms.
A responsible gun owner will always think of safety. With that in mind, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission nature centers in Pine Bluff, Jonesboro, Fort Smith and Little Rock are taking advantage of a program offered by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The program is called Project Child Safe.
The four nature centers, along with the help of local law enforcement agencies, will be distributing gun safety cables free of charge to each person visiting one of the nature centers on March 22-23.
