February 26, 2014 Weekly Fishing Report

Fishing Highlight of the Week: As the water begins to warm from longer days and balmy weather, fish will begin to move to spawning areas. The first of these typically are the walleye and white bass, which concentrate as far upstream as they can in creeks and rivers once the water temperature reaches a steady 50 degrees. Bass and crappie are at the peak of their spawn when water temperature reaches 62 degrees. Catfish and bream are late-bloomers, spawning in water that's 68 to 70 degrees.
