LITTLE ROCK – A key item in an Arkansas hunter’s gear doesn’t cost a cent. It’s the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s 2013-14 Arkansas Hunting Guidebook, a publication with answers for most questions and helpful forms.

Felsenthal NWR fall festival to be held this Saturday
CROSSETT – Now in its fourth year, the Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge will host its fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. The public is invited to come and explore the refuge’s unique recreation opportunities while enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere during its annual festival. The festival will take place at the Old Beer Joint Access on Highway 82, west of the river bridge.

LITTLE ROCK – Deer management cooperatives are partnerships between neighboring landowners or deer clubs that allow the participants to manage deer more effectively. Landowners or managers often encounter various limitations to managing for better deer due to the size of their property, limited resources or number of participants.

DeGray Lake hosts National Public Lands Day and Great Arkansas Cleanup
ARKADELPHIA – DeGray Lake will host The Great Arkansas Cleanup in recognition of National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 21. Registration will be at the Spillway Area at DeGray Lake beginning at 8 a.m.
