Fishing Highlight of the Week: According to B ‘n’ M Poles’ “Any Time, Any Placein Any Water Crappie,” many anglers find crappie underneath docks inthe heat of summer. To shoot your jig underneath a dock or overhang with anultralight spinning rod, grab the jighead with your offhand, while holding theline with your finger as though you were casting. Draw the jig directlyunderneath the rod to about the first eye from the reel and point the rod tipwhere you want the lure to go. Release the jig and the line at the same time, and the rod tip will slingshot your jig forward underneath overhanging cover.
