Hunters drawn for seventh Arkansas alligator hunting season
LITTLE ROCK – Several lucky hunters have been drawn for Arkansas’s seventh season of alligator hunting. The season will get underway in September. The season will be open from 30 minutes after sunset on Friday, Sept. 20 until 30 minutes before sunrise on Monday, Sept. 23 and from 30 minutes after sunset on Friday, Sept. 27 until 30 minutes before sunrise on Monday, Sept. 30.

Take care of that hunting license in ‘slow’ time
LITTLE ROCK –Mid-summer is a slow time for most Arkansas hunters, although squirrel season is open.

Eagle Mountain Magnet archery team finishes second
BATESVILLE – The Eagle Mountain Magnet Elementary archery team continues to finish high in international competition. The school took third place honors at the National Archery in the Schools Program tournament held in St. Louis. Batesville Junior High finished sixth in the tournament.
