Opportunities abound on Free Fishing Weekend
LITTLE ROCK – “The best things in life are free,” the old song tells us, and a strong example is the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Free Fishing Weekend – noon on Friday, June 7, to midnight on Sunday, June 9.

AGFC stocks more than 213,000 fish in Arkansas during April
LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Game and Fish Commission crews stocked more than 213,000 fish in Arkansas lakes and rivers during April, according to Mark Oliver, chief of the Fisheries Division. The total stocking of fish weighed more than 131,000 pounds.

NRCS accepting applications for wildlife habitat incentives 

LITTLE ROCK – Farmers and landowners statewide have until June 14 to submit applications to receive cost-share assistance to implement conservation activities through the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program for the 2013 program year.
