AGFC agrees to long term lease on Maumelle River
WMA LITTLE ROCK – During last week’s monthly meeting of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, commissioners approved a long-term lease agreement with Central Arkansas Water on the Maumelle River Wildlife Management Area. The AGFC has had informal discussions with CAW for several years to explore ways in which the two entities could form a partnership.

Registration begins for seven urban archery deer hunts
LITTLE ROCK – The first step in a unique but demanding form of Arkansas hunting – urban deer hunts – is now open through July 1. Potential hunters can register online at www.agfc.com.

Sen. Mark Pryor to host sportsmen town hall meeting
LITTLE ROCK—U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor today announced that he will host a “Sportsmen Town Hall” on June 1 in Little Rock. The 10 a.m. meeting will be held at the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in the River Market District.

Team Beast, Corning AYSSP squads snag regional titles
LONOKE –Over 210 teams competed in this week’s Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program regional tournament. Team Beast won the junior division and the Corning Senior Squad 2 won the senior division. The regional tournament was held May 17-18 at the Remington range near Lonoke.

Super Retriever Series coming to Camp Robinson
SUA MAYFLOWER - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Boone Pond retriever training area at Camp Robinson Special Use Area will play host to the Super Retriever Series May 31-June 2.
