Shiloh, Fayetteville AYSSP squads snag regional titles
LONOKE – In a weekend filled with wind, cold and rain, 240 teams competed in this week’s Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program regional tournament. The Shiloh Young Guns won the junior division and the Fayetteville Bulldog Senior Squad 1 won the senior division. The regional tournament was held May 3-4 at the Remington range near Lonoke.

Lower White Oak Lake stocking is underway
CHIDESTER – After many months of hard work, the gates on the water control structure of Lower White Oak Lake were closed in February and the lake is now refilling with runoff from rainfall. With water levels now at an adequate level, restocking of the lake with desirable fish species has begun.

Many and varied AGFC programs are free for Arkansans
LITTLE ROCK – The list is long, and the choices are many. These are the free programs offered all over the state by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

CALICO ROCK – Spring is, by far, my favorite time of year. Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, and turkeys are strutting in every field. Arkansas weather is beautiful and everyone wants to get outdoors. For those managing open land for wildlife, spring is prime time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
