Fishing Tip of the Week: Corkhandles offer comfortable grip in hot and cold weather. Over time, chunks ofthe cork can fall out and the handles can be worn slick. To fix this, run awine cork over a cheese grater to create shavings. Then mix the shavings withwood glue to form a putty. Pack any holes in the cork handle with the putty andallow it to dry. Then, go over the entire handle lightly with medium-gritsandpaper to smooth the surface and bring back the grip’s texture.
