Wildlife funding included in financial assistance available to producers affected by drought
LITTLE ROCK – Mike Sullivan, Arkansas state conservationist for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, announced financial assistance is available through a special initiative for Arkansas agricultural producers impacted by the exceptional drought the state is experiencing.

AGFC lifts trout stocking restrictions on Little Red River
HEBER SPRINGS – Last week, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission placed a trout stocking restriction on the Little Red River due to high water temperatures and low water releases. Southwestern Power Administration responded by releasing additional water from Greers Ferry Dam. Water temperatures have fallen to the point where the stocking restriction has been lifted.

57th Saunders muzzle-loader shoot coming up Sept. 27-30
BERRYVILLE – One of Arkansas’s longest running firearms event, the 57th Saunders Memorial Shoot, is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 27-30. It will take place at Luther Owens Muzzle Loading Range and Park in Berryville.

Free replacement hunting and boating education cards now available online
LITTLE ROCK – Have you lost your hunter’s education or boater’s education card? At the click of a mouse, you can now get a free replacement card from your home computer. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has unveiled a new site for these replacement cards.
