Dry Run Creek access dedication set for April 19
SALESVILLE - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will hold a dedication ceremony renaming the lower Dry Run Creek Access in honor of retired AGFC Fisheries Division employee Larry Rider. The dedication ceremony will be held April 19 beginning at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 177 and Fish Hatchery Circle in Salesville.

Arkansas high school fishing state championship set for May 12 NORTH LITTLE ROCK – The Bass Federation, in partnership with FLW Outdoors, and the North Little Rock Visitors Bureau will be hosting the 2012 Student Angler Federation Arkansas high school fishing state championship. The event will be held Saturday, May 12 on the Arkansas River launching out of the Alltel Ramp in North Little Rock.

AGFC stocks more than 297,000 fish in Arkansas during March LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Game and Fish Commission crews stocked over 297,000 fish in Arkansas lakes and rivers during March, according to Mark Oliver, chief of the Fisheries Division. The total stocking of fish weighed more than 90,400 pounds.
